So we have been a little quiet over the last couple of months – because we have been squirrelled away working on our brand spanking new show for this year’s Fringe World… SHAKE DOWN!
Shake Down is an all-new Stratosfunk show about the dance moves of the 1960s, and the awesome songs that came with them. We do SO much dancing in our usual shows, that it got us wondering – which came first: The dance move? Or the song about the dance move?
Our show attempts to answer this question – with the help of our guests the gorgeous girls from Beehives Go-Go, and you, the audience. We’re planning a rollicking good time for you all with some fantastic songs from some iconic artists (Wilson Pickett, James Brown, Ike & Tina Turner) and lots of opportunities to learn these crazy dance moves. From the most famous of them all: The Twist, to the more obscure ones, which we’ll leave as a surprise for now…
Be prepared to laugh, feel the joy, be amazed, and DANCE!
The show is on at The De Parel Spiegeltent in The Urban Orchard (Perth Cultural Centre, Northbridge) from Mon 10th Feb – Fri 14th Feb, at 10.30pm (approx 1hr 15min run time).
